Dear Fellow Haitian Entrepreneurs,
I write to you today with a heart filled with passion and patriotism, as we face a critical moment in the history of our beloved Haiti. The recent decision by the Kenyan parliament to send troops to help us fight against the gangs should serve as a rallying call for all of us, both here in Haiti and in the diaspora.
Our ancestors have shown us time and time again the power of unity in the face of adversity. We must come together as a people, just as they did, to overcome the challenges that threaten our nation's sovereignty and dignity. We cannot allow the Dominican Republic to simply pretend to be our friends again, benefiting from the arrival of the international community while we struggle.
The sacrifices made by those living in the border areas, who have fought tirelessly to keep those borders closed, should not go unnoticed. They have displayed unwavering courage and dedication for the love of our country. It is a fight worth continuing, for our dignity, our sovereignty, and most importantly, our economic independence.
We must not forget the vision of Jean Jacques Dessalines, and we must honor it by standing strong and united. The darkest moments come just before the dawn, and now we can see the ray of light on the horizon. This is our opportunity to rebuild our nation and ensure a brighter future for our people.
Haitian entrepreneurs, wherever you may be, I implore you to answer this call to action. Let us come together for the sake of our nation and the survival of our people. We have the talent, the skills, and the determination to make a difference. Let us seize this moment and write a new chapter in Haiti's history.
In solidarity and determination,
Akmann Van-Mary
